The DURNI-COAT® nickel-phosphorus coatings formed by electroless processes show high abrasion resistance. In direct comparison, chemical nickel coatings are harder and more resistant than electrolytic nickel coatings. The corrosion protection of coatings obtained by the electroless method is very high. The low coefficient of friction and abrasion resistance of these coatings is an essential selling factor. In addition, these coatings are conductive and have good contact properties. Since the process is cadmium and lead free, it complies with RoHS standards and has applications in the food industry. Basic materials such as steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals (copper, brass), and aluminium can be chemically nickel plated. The appearance of the coating depends on the pre-treatment of the substrate- polished surfaces remain glossy, sandblasted surfaces matte.
